Process & Profile
Virginia Distillery Co. x North Coast Brewing The Brewer’s Coalition Old Rasputin Stout Cask Single Malt Whisky is a limited American single malt created through a collaboration between Virginia Distillery Company and North Coast Brewing Co. This release starts with whisky made from 100% malted barley, aged in premium ex-bourbon barrels for more than five years before being finished in North Coast Brewing Co. Old Rasputin Stout barrels. Just eight barrels were sourced for the release, giving this bottle real small-run appeal for single malt fans and collectors alike.

What makes this whisky especially compelling is the way the stout cask finish builds on the single malt base rather than overpowering it. The ex-bourbon maturation lays down the vanilla, oak, and malt foundation, while the Old Rasputin stout barrels add darker, richer layers that bring more roasted character and dessert-toned depth. This gives the whisky a profile that feels distinctive within the American single malt category, especially for shoppers looking for a bottle that crosses over naturally between whiskey and craft beer audiences.
